The car was restored 20 years ago and saw very little use. When pulled out of storage, its condition showed that time was kind to it and aside from some minor blemishes that will be rectified in a short order, the car will be better prepared to compete in future events. The Ferrari 250 GTO however, was the class winner.
Of particular interest is that this 330 GTC received, courtesy of Pininfarina, cloth seat covers. The purpose of which, is to protect the occupants from hot leather seats, as was expected the car would encounter while staying in Houston, Texas; the home town of the cardiologist.
It was a privilege to see this car compete in such a rarified group of Ferraris. Many people have been involved in the manufacture, restoration, preservation and research about this car. Not the least of whom is myself. I spent the last 10 years writing a book on the 330 GTC and its derivatives.
