Die Rallyes waren daher bewußt breit ausgeschrieben: Super- sport-Wagen und Hypercars – dies war eine Rallye-Option. Sie nannte sich „Extravaganza“.
Dann gab es die Rallye für klassische Automobile „On Tour“ und schließlich auch eine Rallye „Lady-Teams-only“ mit dem furio- sen Titel „La Vitesse“. Bewußt öffnete sich ICONS für moderne und aktuelle Fahrzeuge. Mobilität von gestern, heute und mor- gen, ist Programm und damit ist die Bühne auch bereitet für die Sammlerfahrzeuge von heute. Junge Teilnehmer und junges Publikum waren begeistert. Das Format konnte punkten.
Überhaupt ist alles rund ums Thema „Fahrdynamik“ wichtiger Teil der ICONS. Keine Statik, keine relativ eintönigen Präsenta- tionen wie auf Messen, obwohl diese natürlich in unserer Klas- siker-Welt auch immer eine gute Berechtigung habe. Im Fokus stand aber: Hohe Emotionalität und Aktivierung!
Daher fuhren alle drei Rallyes auch auf der eigens gemieteten Rennstrecke „Circuit Mallorca“ in Llucmajor. Für einen ganzen Tag stand die Strecke mit Ausblick auf das Panorama von Palma, die weltberühmte Kathedrale und den Hafen zur Verfügung. Die Initiatoren der ICONS hatten deshalb den aufwändigen Teil der Komplettnutzung für fast 10 Stunden gewählt, weil - ganz der innovativen Philosophie der ICONS folgend – auch die 36 ausgewählten Fahrzeuge des Concours auf die Rennstrecke gin- gen.
The rallies were therefore consciously organised in several classes. One rally class was aimed at super sports cars and hypercars called “Extravaganza”.
Then there was the “On Tour” rally for classic cars and finally a “Lady-Teams-only” class with the furious title “La Vitesse”. ICONS deliberately opened itself up to modern and current vehicles. The mobility of yesterday, today and tomorrow is on the programme and so the stage is likewise set for the collectors’ vehicles of today. The young participants and audience were thrilled, and the format proved to be extremely popular.
Altogether, everything to do with “driving dynamics” is an important aspect of the ICONS. No static elements and no relatively monotonous presentations like at trade fairs, whereby these naturally always have a justified place in our world of classic cars. But the focus here was on a great deal of emotion and action!
Consequently, all three rallies also drove on the specially rented “Circuit Mallorca” racetrack in Llucmajor. The course, with its views of the panorama of Palma, the world-famous cathedral and the harbour, was available for an entire day. The initiators of the ICONS had therefore chosen the elaborate part of the complete utilisation for almost 10 hours, because – in keeping with the event’s innovative philosophy – the 36 selected vehicles of the Concours also took to the racetrack.
