Porsche krönt die Mittelmotor-Modellreihe 718 mit einem Sportwagen, der auf maximalen Fahr- spaß ausgelegt ist: Der neue 718 Spyder RS ist das offene Gegenstück zum 718 Cayman GT4 RS. Erstmals kommt in einem offenen Mittel- motor-Sportwagen der frei saugende Sechszy- linder-Boxer des 911 GT3 mit 368 kW (500 PS) zum Einsatz. Das gleiche Leichtbau-Aggregat mit Hochdrehzahlkonzept treibt auch das Rennfahr- zeug Porsche 911 GT3 Cup an. Im 718 Spyder RS mit seinem besonders leichten und puristischen manuellen Verdeck ist der hochemotionale Sound des Motors besonders gut zu erleben. Dazu tra- gen auch die serienmäßige Leichtbau-Sportabga- sanlage aus Edelstahl und die markanten Prozess- lufteinlässe seitlich hinter den Kopfstützen bei.
Porsche crowns the 718 mid-engine model series with a sports car designed for maximum driving pleasure: the new 718 Spyder RS is the open coun- terpart to the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. For the first time, the free-suction six-cylinder boxer engine of the 911 GT3 with 368 kW (500 hp) is used in an open mid-engine sports car. The same lightweight power unit with a high-revving concept also drives the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racing car. In the 718 Spyder RS with its particularly light and puristic manual soft top, the highly emotional sound of the engine can be experienced especially well. The standard lightweight stainless steel sports ex- haust system and the striking process air intakes at the side behind the headrests also contribute to this.
