Die Veranstaltung begann am Donnerstag, den 5. Mai, mit einer Vernissage in der Ima- go Kunstgalerie. Am Samstag um 9.30 Uhr begann der Wettbewerb mit der Ausstellung der Fahrzeuge in der eleganten Via Nassa und auf den angrenzenden Plätzen (wo auch eine Ausstellung von Motorbooten stattfand). Am Nachmittag fand die Parade und Präsentation der verchromten Schmuckstücke am Seeufer statt.
Die Fahrzeuge, die die Jury, bestehend aus mehr als fünfzehn internationalen Superex- perten, überzeugten, kämpften um die Titel in den verschiedenen Kategorien oder um den Best of Show. Die Kategorien waren: offene und geschlossene Vorkriegs- und Nachkriegs- fahrzeuge sowie in diesem Jahr fünf Sonder- kategorien: 75 Jahre Porsche, Schweizer Ka- rosseriebauer, Fahrzeuge mit amerikanischen Motoren, Mercedes 300 SL Flügeltürer & Ro- adster und große italienische Sportwagen.
The event began on Thursday 5 May with a ver- nissage at the Imago Art Gallery. On Saturday at 9.30am, the competition began with the display of vehicles in the elegant Via Nassa and adjacent squares (where there was also an exhibition of motorboats). In the afternoon, the parade and presentation of the chromed jewels took place on the lakeshore.
The vehicles that convinced the jury, consis- ting of more than fifteen international super experts, competed for the titles in the diffe- rent categories or for the Best of Show. The categories were: pre-war and post-war open and closed cars, and this year five special ca- tegories: 75th anniversary of Porsche, Swiss coachbuilders, cars with American engines, Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing & Roadster and lar- ge Italian sports cars.
