Auf was dürfen die Besucher gespannt sein zum Jubiläum?
Wir feiern uns nicht selbst. Aber am 18. Juni startet auch eine die Classic-Car-Ausstellung in der historischen Empfangshalle des ehemaligen Flughafens aus dem Jahr 1930. Die exklusi- ven Fahrzeuge unseres Mieters Car Classics Cologne von Horch bis Rolls-Royce werden u.a. aus den 1930er Jahren sein und in Verbindung mit historischen Aufnahmen präsentiert. Dann ist natürlich das große H-Kennzeichen-Treffen an diesem Wochenende ein Highlight und die offizielle Eröffnung des neuen Erlebnisrestaurants ‚El Carrito‘.
Was bringt die Zukunft?
Unser Ziel ist es das Angebot und die Attraktivität weiter zu steigern. Praktisch bedeutet das momentan für unseren Standort, dass neben den Classic Cars auch die Hersteller moderner, alternativer Mobilität und die Sportlichkeit durchaus ein Thema sind. Der stete Wandel prägt auch die Motorworld Köln-Rheinland. Vor fünf Jahren und heute und was in fünf Jahren ist – das sind Zeitschienen, die komplett unterschiedlich sein werden. Natürlich ist auch der Event- bereich spannend: Wir werden neue Highlights und neue Ideen entwickeln, die geprägt sind von den Bedürfnissen und den Wünschen unserer Besucher und den Gästen.
Es wird immer alles im Wandel bleiben – und spannend sein.
What can visitors look forward to mark the anniversary?
We won‘t be celebrating ourselves. But June 18 will also see the opening of a classic car exhibition in the historical terminal of the former airport, which dates back to 1930. The exclusive vehicles provided by our tenant Car Classics Cologne, from Horch to Rolls-Royce, will originate from the 1930s and later, and will be presented together with historical photo- graphs.
Other highlights will, of course, be the big H-Kennzeichnen-Treffen meeting this weekend and the official opening of the new ‚El Carrito‘ experience restaurant.
What does the future hold?
Our goal is to expand the portfolio and the location‘s appeal. In practical terms, this currently means for our location that, alongside classic cars, we are also bringing the manufacturers of modern, alternative mobility and sports vehicles into the fold. Ongoing change characteri- ses Motorworld Köln-Rheinland as well. Five years ago, today, and what will be in five years – these are timelines that will be completely different. The event sector is naturally also an exciting one. We will develop new highlights and new ideas that are shaped by the needs and
