Das Saisondebüt 2024 des Alfa Revival Cup auf der Rennstrecke von Vallelunga fand bei kaltem und regne- rischem Wetter statt und bildete den Rahmen für die Veranstaltung „Piero Taruffi“, an der 30 klassische Alfas in der von Canossa Events organisierten Einzelmarken- serie teilnahmen. Peter Praller siegte im regennassen Rennen auf der Giulia Sprint GTA für die Formel GT inmitten einer Reihe von gelben Flaggen. Der nächste Lauf findet vom 7. bis 9. Juni 2024 auf dem Red Bull Ring in Österreich statt.
Die Qualifying-Sitzungen brachten einige Überra- schungen mit sich, insbesondere der Rückschlag von Christian Ondrak und Massimo Bortolami in der Giulia Sprint GTA des OKP Alfa Delta Racing Teams, der zu einer gelben Flagge für fast 10 Minuten führte. Trotz eines späten Getriebeschadens sicherte sich Ronnie Kessel für dasselbe Team die sechstschnellste Zeit im GTAm. Emilio Petrone und Giacomo Barri vom OKP Alfa Delta Racing Team sicherten sich die Pole-Positi- on, nur knapp vor ihrem Teamkollegen Daniele Perfet- ti. Bemerkenswert waren die Leistungen von Massimo Guerra und Giovanni Serio in der Giulia GTA sowie der Rekord von Fausto Amendolagine und Gianluca Bardelli im Alfa Romeo GT Veloce 2000 für Irpinia Northwest Jolly.
The 2024 season debut of the Alfa Revival Cup at Val- lelunga circuit unfolded amidst cold and rainy weather, setting the stage for the „Piero Taruffi“ event, featuring 30 classic Alfas in the single-make series organized by Canossa Events. Peter Praller emerged victorious in the rain-soaked race, driving the Giulia Sprint GTA for Formula GT, amidst a flurry of yellow flags. The next round is slated for the Red Bull Ring in Austria from June 7 to 9, 2024.
Qualifying sessions brought surprises, notably Chris- tian Ondrak and Massimo Bortolami‘s setback in the Giulia Sprint GTA of the OKP Alfa Delta Racing Team, leading to a yellow flag for almost 10 minutes. Despite a late gearbox failure, Ronnie Kessel secured the sixth fastest time in the GTAm for the same team. Emilio Pe- trone and Giacomo Barri of the OKP Alfa Delta Racing Team claimed pole position, narrowly beating teamma- te Daniele Perfetti. Noteworthy were Massimo Guerra and Giovanni Serio‘s achievement in the Giulia GTA and Fausto Amendolagine and Gianluca Bardelli‘s record in the Alfa Romeo GT Veloce 2000 for Irpinia Northwest Jolly.
