Der AvD feiert seinen 125. Geburtstag. Aus diesem An- lass fand in der beeindruckenden Motorworld Manufak- tur Rüsselsheim ein großartiges Fotoshooting mit der rot-weißen Flotte statt, die die Historie des Vereins be- leuchtet.
Es begann am 31. Juli 1899 in Berlin, als sich die visio- närsten Köpfe ihrer Zeit unter der Führung von Victor Herzog von Ratibor trafen und der Deutsche Automo- bil-Club (DAC) gegründet wurde – eine bahnbrechende Initiative, die der rasanten Begeisterung für das Automo- bil Rechnung trug. In einer Ära, in der Pferdefuhrwerke noch die Straßen beherrschten, hatten diese Pioniere eine kühnere Vision: die Zukunft der Mobilität.
The AvD, the German Automobile Club, is celebrating its 125th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a magnificent photo shoot with the red and white fleet, highlighting the club’s history, was held at the impressive Motorworld Manufaktur Rüsselsheim.
Everything began on 31 July 1899 in Berlin, when the most visionary minds of their time led by Victor, Duke of Ratibor, assembled and established the Deutsche Automobil-Club (DAC) – a trailblazing initiative that reflected the rapidly growing enthusiasm for automobiles. In an era when horse- drawn vehicles still dominated the roads, these pioneers had a bolder vision: the future of mobility.
