Die „Baller League“ begeistert mit mehr Entertainment, Geschwindigkeit und Überraschungen, spannenden Ideen, alternativen Regeln und einem Hauch Bolzplatz-Charme. Ziel ist es, neue Zielgruppen für den Fußball zu gewinnen und alte Fans zurückzuholen.
Jedes Team besteht aus elf Spielern, die im Sechs-ge- gen-Sechs-Format auf Kunstrasen-Kleinfeldern spielen. Ein Match dauert zweimal 15 Minuten. Besondere Span- nung bieten die letzten drei Minuten jeder Halbzeit mit spontanen Regeländerungen per Glücksrad, genannt „Ga- mechanger“ und „Galaxy Minutes“.
Im klassischen Fußball gibt es Abseits und Aus, aber Eck- stöße wurden durch Strafstöße ersetzt, wenn der Ball drei- mal im Aus landet. Fernschüsse sind erlaubt.
Neben den Gründern Lukas Podolski und Mats Hummels sind auch weitere Profis wie Christoph Kramer, Kevin-Prin- ce Boateng, Max Kruse, Jule Brand und Alisha Lehmann vertreten. Zudem traten bekannte Streamer wie Trymacs,
The Baller League thrills the spectators with more entertain- ment, speed and surprises, exciting ideas, alternative rules and a touch of kick-about pitch charm. The aim is to attract new target groups to football and bring back former fans. Each team comprises eleven players who play in a six-a-side format on small synthetic turf pitches. A match lasts two hal- ves of 15 minutes. The last three minutes of each half offer particular excitement with spontaneous rule changes deter- mined, by a wheel of fortune, called „Gamechanger“ and „Ga- laxy Minutes“.
In traditional football there are offside and out-of-play rules, but corner kicks have been replaced by penalties if the ball goes out of play three times. Long-range shots are permitted. Alongside the founders Lukas Podolski and Mats Hummels, other professional players including Christoph Kramer, Ke- vin-Prince Boateng, Max Kruse, Jule Brand and Alisha Leh- mann are also taking part. Additionally, well-known streamers such as Trymacs, MontanaBlack, Jens „Knossi“ Knossalla and HandOfBlood appeared as managers in the first season.
