Als erster Bugatti seit über 20 Jahren, der nicht vom W16-Motor angetrieben wird, bricht der Tourbillon mit der Tradition, die Basismodelle nach berühmten Bugatti-Rennfahrern zu benennen. Stattdessen wurde der Name Tourbillon als perfekte Verkörperung des Charakters dieses Autos gewählt. Tourbillon ist ein französisches Wort und eine subtile Anspielung auf Bugattis französisches Erbe und seine Heimatstadt Molsheim.
Dieses Gefühl der mechanischen Zeitlosigkeit war ein zentrales Element bei der Entwicklung des Bugatti Tourbillon. Der Tourbillon nutzt daher eine Reihe von Design- und Konstruktionstechniken, die niemals altern werden, einschließlich eines vollständig analogen Kombiinstruments, das von Schweizer Uhrmachern mit derselben Sorgfalt und Liebe zum Detail wie die besten Zeitmesser der Welt hergestellt wird.
As the first Bugatti in over 20 years not to be powered by the W16 engine, the Tourbillon breaks with the tradition of naming the base models after famous Bugatti racing drivers. In- stead, the name Tourbillon was chosen as the perfect embodiment of the character of this car. Tourbillon is a French word and a subtle nod to Bugatti‘s French heritage and its home town of Molsheim.
This sense of mechanical timelessness was a key element in the development of the Bugatti Tourbillon. The Tourbillon therefore uses a ran- ge of design and construction techniques that will never age, including a fully analogue inst- rument cluster, crafted by Swiss watchmakers with the same care and attention to detail as the world‘s finest timepieces.
