Im Hauptkampf des Abends verzichteten beide Boxer auf anfängliches Abtasten. Bauer dominierte von Anfang an die Ringmitte und landete präzise Treffer. Timo Rost konterte kurz in der zweiten Runde mit einem Aufwärtshaken. Doch in der drit- ten Runde traf Bauer seinen Gegner mit einem ge- nauen Haken, wodurch Rost zu Boden ging. Nach dem Anzählen setzte Bauer konsequenten Druck fort. Nach weiteren Treffern kniete Rost erneut nieder, sein rechtes Auge war stark geschwollen. Trainer Bekim Hokaj warf nach dem Anzählen das Handtuch und signalisierte die Aufgabe. Dadurch siegte Leon Bauer vorzeitig in der dritten Runde bei seinem Universum-Debüt.
In the main contest of the evening, both boxers dispensed with a cautious start. Bauer dominated the centre of the ring right from the outset and lan- ded some precise punches. Timo Rost countered briefly in the second round with an uppercut. But in the third round, Bauer hit his opponent with an accurate hook, sending Rost to the floor. After the count, Bauer continued to apply consistent pressu- re. After a few more blows, Rost knelt down again, his right eye badly swollen. Coach Bekim Hokaj then threw in the towel after the count. This meant a debut win for Leon Bauer early in the third round.
