Paris ist immer eine Reise wert - und für Au- tomobilfans ganz besonders dann, wenn die Retromobile stattfindet. Jedes Jahr Anfang Fe- bruar pilgern Oldtimer-Liebhaber in die Pariser Metropole, um auf dem Ausstellungsgelände an der Porte de Versailles klassische Autos, Motor- räder und andere Fahrzeuge aus verschiedenen Epochen sowie damit verbundene Erinnerungs- stücke, Kunstwerke und Literatur zu bestaunen. Die Show ist bekannt für die Vielfalt der ausge- stellten Fahrzeuge, von den ersten Dampfautos bis hin zu modernen Sportwagen.
Die Retromobile ist auch für ihre hochkaräti- gen Auktionen bekannt, bei denen seltene und wertvolle Oldtimer meistbietend versteigert werden. Einer der Höhepunkte der Messe ist die Artcurial-Auktion, die am ersten Samstag der Veranstaltung stattfindet.
Paris is always worth a trip - and especially for car fans when the Retromobile takes place. Every year at the beginning of February, classic car enthusiasts flock to the Paris metropolis to admire classic cars, motorcycles and other vehicles from different eras as well as related memorabilia, works of art and literature at the exhibition center at the Porte de Versailles. The show is known for the variety of vehicles on dis- play, from the first steam cars to modern day sports cars.
Retromobile is also known for its top-class auc- tions, where rare and valuable classic cars are sold to the highest bidder. One of the highlights of the fair is the Artcurial auction, which takes place on the first Saturday of the event.
